Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you will meet an Gembe Adventures representative, and transfer to the hotel under the rate. The hotel will provide all the essentials for a comfortable stay: cozy rooms, hot water, polite staff, a swimming pool, and Internet access. In the evening there will be a briefing with our managers, who will also make sure you are ready to begin the Safari.
Start your romantic adventure with a briefing in Arusha before heading towards the enchanting Tarangire National Park. Known for its savannah, majestic baobab trees, and seasonal swamps, Tarangire is famous for its impressive elephant herds. As you journey through the park, you’ll likely spot a diverse range of wildlife, including giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and the unique gerenuk. Buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests are abundant, often accompanied by predators such as lions. While leopards make occasional appearances, cheetahs are a rare sight. After a hearty breakfast, depart Tarangire and head towards the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu. Continue your journey along a rugged gravel road with panoramic views of the Rift Valley Escarpment and the sacred Ol Doinyo Lengai mountain in the distance. Depart the Serengeti and travel towards the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known for its remarkable conservation area and dense wildlife populations, the crater is often referred to as the “eighth wonder of the world.” Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim, where you’ll spend the night enjoying panoramic views of the crater below.
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game viewing. The crater floor is teeming with wildlife, including lions, elephants, hippos, and flamingos. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater before continuing your exploration. Return to your lodge in the evening for a relaxing night with stunning crater views.
